I fished Lake Sixteen from 5:30 pm till about 7:15 pm. Water temp was 64.1 degrees F, Calm, no wind, cloudy. Fish rising and jumping at the north end of the lake. I trolled flies near the top (no floating line) and also trolled a green frog flat fish which I received two light bites on but no hook ups. I believe as the water cools a bit more the trout will begin biting. I also believe if you fished this area with a floating line and a mosquito type fly, you would be successful. I just haven't invested in a floating line in all my 30 years of fly fishing. I've always fished flies below the surface. I think I need a floating line! Any, it was a nice few hours on the water with no one else present.
