Dave and I met up with Mike about 10:00 a.m. on the south end near the big island. In the morning it was overcast, a steady south wind about 12 mph. The clouds cleared off around noon, but the steady breeze didn't lighten up, even towards evening. The air temperature was about 55 degrees and the surface temperature of the water was 49 degrees.
Right away, both Mike and Dave got one 24" fish each using a black wooly bugger with blue highlights. Unfortunately, these were the only fish brought to the next the rest of the day. I had one follow up, approx. 24" in length, but nothing else.
We saw some May Fly adults around noon time, but the wind picked up again in the afternoon and didn't see any more.
Talking with others at the launch, it was a very slow day for everyone else also.
