Hit Sprague about 10 AM - hoping that by that time it would have warmed up some. It was warm enough, but the wind was kicking up. I trolled out of the launch over the springs and missed the first hit in about 6 ft of water. The water is a little clearer than last month but still very green, ~ 48 degrees. I was using a medium sized willow leaf silver flasher on leaded line (out about a color and a half) with a purple and black double whammy (like a wedding ring with a smile blade and a trailer hook) with a worm. I headed for the middle of the lake and landed a 14" bow about 30 minutes later. Another hour without a bite - and the wind was really blowing now. I switched over to my light casting rod with a small banana weight and a small gold willow leaf flasher, and a green and red double whammy (silver smile blade). I landed two 16" fatties in 5 minutes - the second one hit while I was still letting the line back out - I was probably only down about 2 ft, in 10 ft of water, going about 1.2 MPH. I went back over that spot (on the North side towards the public boat launch by some weedy/rocky points) several more times - but nothing. Caught one more in the middle of the bay heading back in to the launch. Too much wind for me - all in all a good day - thanks for keeping the lake open a little longer.
