In an attempt to get my brother fishing, I took him to nearby Boren. He knows how to cast and everything but he just doesn't like it. Boren's been pretty hot for planter-sized trout, so I figured that would be the best place to do some catching and hopefully get him into the sport. He hooked a few on a yellow #4 panther martin with red spots and a green/orange F-4 flatfish, but they all managed to spit the hook. Poor kid needs to work on his hookset. I managed three rainbows on the spinner as well as a 1/8 ounce (I'm guessing) needlefish. You're pretty much guaranteed to hook a fish if you cast into one of those rings made by a rising fish.

Good to see your report Abdullah. Way to introduce your bro to fishing also! It was nice to meet you at sammamish this summer......(second place in the casting contest if I remember right)

I've been there the last few days. The two-rodder morons are out in force. On Sunday, moron #1 caught a trout on one of his rods, took 10 minutes to unhook it, gave it the death grip, walked across the dock, and gave the trout a hail mary heave back into the lake. The trout was floating belly up.

Yesterday (Tuesday), I saw moron #2 fishing with 2 rods at the dock on Coal Creek Parkway. He hooked a fish with rod# 1 and then hooked a fish with rod #2, but it got caught in the shoreline bushes. He climbed down the dock to the water and teetered on some branches trying to get it off. After about 1/2 hour of untangling, he got the fish. I was half hoping to see him slip and drench himself. LOL

Sheesh. Why is it so important to use 2 rods to catch a stringer of small hatchery trout?

Lots of bites for me, but they're tough to hook. Very light biters - grab and drop. It took about 20 hits before I caught my limit of 5 in about 1.5 hours. Oh yeah, I was using just 1 rod. LOL

People fishing for those baby trout with two rods should be pushed into the water. That's not cool man.

Yeah, those two-rodders are real idiots. I mean, for crying out loud, do they need to eat small hatchery trout that badly??!! I don't know what it is about Boren that seems to attract the two-rodders like flies on poop. I've never seen as many two-rodders at other places than what I've seen at Boren. It seems like every time I go, there is at least one if not more two-rodders, and it's always a different person.

Real sad to see these sportsmen (boys) ruining true fishermen sense of honor. I mean are they that much into killing these small planters for sport? Very sad display of human nature. It would be great to turn them in but who do you call, the local law enforcement? I live in Edmonds and fish at Lake Ballinger, Mountlake Terrace police are the ones to enforce fishing regulations, seems harder due to budget cuts in our state. So sorry for just a few of our culture is ruining recreation for everyone. If anyone has a solution to bust these idiots please let me and others know, I've tried before to turn in these idiots by calling 911 discreetly by walking away or calling when I am leaving, it usually is not going to happen. Please find a solution or post a number, Thanks
