Reading the reports and my fishing buddy crablegs neighbor was the guy (Brian)who caught the big rainbow from under the dock ,we had to check it out.We went over to the new military marina and started there .We started with a jointed rapala and the new shad rap rainbow plug.WATER was scary clear and we put plugs in and around every log submerged log and points like we would for bass ,but didn't get as much as a follow by anything.We then trolled the usual stuff and same result 0.I did see fish rise on occasion .There were 4 boats fishing the same area same results o.We fished 730 to 11:30 ,was overcast and no wind,water was glass ,didn't remember to get the temp.There was a hatch of some sort going on lotsa flying bugs around don't know what they were but seemed easy for the fish to eat.So nice time out no fish thou .Back to the river on Saturday.No monster trout on this occasion.
