Went back to Silver today for crappie and perch in the Hall Rd. canal. Wow, was it a wet morning. I was the only boat in the canal this morning and fished from 8:30 AM till 2:00 PM. There was three guys fishing on the private property, just off Hall Rd. There were also 4 guys fishing along the new RV park. Bite was slower today than my last report and the crappie were not as concentrated in one area. I caught crappie and perch throughout the canal. I would catch 4-5 then they would move. I would move about 50 feet and be back into them, then they would move again.

Best color of tube jig today was red/chartreuse, under a float about 4 feet deep. The crappie are nice size this year and fun to catch on ultra light gear. I took a couple of photos of the average size that I caught today. This is a great time to get the kids out there, as the action is pretty constant to keep them busy.
