Hit RW today for short trip.
Cloudy, rain (off & on), but another good day on the water. Used jigs, Cast Masters, and Crocodiles.
Caught fish in all the locations where we fished, but not great numbers or size. Largest this trip around 4 pounds.
Fishing buddy, Wife, was motoring us away from the dock (I was getting into my Bibs), and suddenly stopped the boat approx. 200 yards out from the dock. I ask what's the problem, and she said "Oh nothing, I just wanted to see if I could catch a fish out here (we hadn't fished this area). So while I finished buckling the galluses, she up and heaves a croc out across the water. It did take her two casts to hook up, but it made her happy. It turned out to be the biggest fish of the day. Only problem was I talked her into shaking it off instead of boating it, as I "Told her she could catch a bigger one". Well, I was Wrong about that, but we did catch 15-25 nice fish, but nothing for the smoker today.. We would stand under the Bimini when the showers got heavy, and troll then cast when it slowed down. Wasn't a lot of traffic on the water today, but the water temp continues to decrease.
Tight lines everyone

Blufin thanks for the help. It really paid off. The kids and I boat 25 fish in the 4-6 lbs range. With a few over that. The kids had a blast which made it a huge success.
Thanks to all the member who helped with tips on fishing and the regs.

hey glx, It sounds like it was a nice trip, and hope the kids want to go again. Sharing the fishing/outdoor experience with the young ones is a worthy endeavour, so keep it up.
