Giarc and I got to the lake at 11:15 AM, Ramp was busy and the bank fisherman and the incoming boats were at there usual bickering about not going over there lines. We fished the cove just north of the ramp, water was flat about 53 degrees and the weather was on and off sprinkles. Giarc got the first fish and had quite a fight, the fish was pulling line and in all the years I have fished with him I have never seen a fish pull line off his reel. That monster was in the boat, my pole started dancing and my fight was on, couldn't horse it in cause I was using 4Lb test with a 2lb leader. This fish took a good ten minutes to get in the boat, After it was in I couldn't figure out how to pick it up, it was that big. These fish seemed to have small heads and huge bodies, they felt firm, not mushy. Lots of people on the lake, but were all in good spirits, some were catching fish some were just fishing. Green power eggs were the ticket, all of the fish we caught jumped on the bait and you knew you had something special. Saw a canoe tip over across from the boat ramp, everybody was fine and really wet, the guy that had the canoe with his son, was a little bit sheepish when towed back to the ramp. Tight lines. KH
