Played hide n seek with the tigers today.
On the water at 10AM and began trolling with a firetiger super shad rap in the deeper channels.
Trolled about an hour or so and then took a stab at vertical jigging(which is a new concept to me) off a few dropoffs and flats east of Bankers Island. Finally raised a tiger from the depths but he seemed more curious than hungry. He might have gone 30 inches.... Around noon the winds began to pick up strength out of the southwest,...so we pulled into
a more shallow cove loaded with weeds, burned a few bucktails and some swimbaits with no luck. But saw a good sized
carp(Woo-Hoo) We decided to make a final run for some smallies and blasted off to the eastside of Tapps Island.
Tossed a few different lures but went back to my old habits of using the silver/blue x-rap. Finally got a smallie interested, but couldn't get him to bite. We saw a couple more after that, but they would look us in the eye and give us the FIN. No fish in the net,but another great outing. Took some notes and eager for the next trip out here.
Off the water by 3PM Water level is down around 2 feet, maybe a little more and stumps are becoming more exposed.
