Rufus continues to produce nice numbers of triploids with a few nice fish mixed in...Fished at the pens to start the day with a few fish caught..Ended in the lower basin of the lake..The bite was real slow in the morning but at the end of the day the bite picked up....Caught some fish trolling, but the most productive method was casting jigs and roostertails in black colors to shorelines..ended the day with over 40 rainbows and a handful of perch...Pictured is Scott Scheffler and friend Lee of Seattle with nice limit of respectable rainbows..For all to remember with fishing Rufus..Be prepared to do some changes in your presentations..

I have been asked to post my reports on WL..The responses that I have been recieving have been positive..I have been recieving numerous calls from fisherman from all over the states with questions on where to fish Rufus and what to use. I am not posting my reports for personal gain only, I feel that I am providing a service that most guides keep secret.. Please feel free to contact me for info on Rufus Woods..Joe Heinlen 509-393-9665

Those are some ugly trout. They look like mutants.

I have been successful lately trolling on the surface for the big fish...The water is clear so the fish can see your lure on the surface... If the fish are in the top water column..I do believe that as the temp drops the fish will drop in depth but I feel the surface water will remain productive through December..Joe Heinlen
