One of the few non-windy days on Lone lake, so decided to do some fly fishing. No luck, but I am no good at it, so returned to my truck, and rigged a wedding ring (barbless, single hook as per the regulations) and slow trolled that on an ultralight with 4lb test mono. West side of lake hooked into a monster trout, and fought it away from the reeds. It actually pulled my little aluminum skiff in toward the shore! It started to tire though, and was able to net it, boat it, and release it after snapping one picture (I felt a little guilty about this but he swam away well, and I was very careful.) Saw some Monster trout surfacing and swimming away from my boat.
It got dark and cold after that, so had to leave, but I am surely returning to this lake...great fish! Pretty lake too.
