With the wind finally dying down I decided to hit up the lake with the kid. We were on the water by 9:30 and headed for the North end of Mercer Island with just a slight breeze out of the South West providing a slight surface ripple. As great as the conditions looked the fish were not cooperating. We moved to the I-90 bridge then North to Bill's house and eventually the 520 bridge all with nothing to show for our efforts My usual offerings went untouched and we saw nary a fish on the finder while trying depths between 10' and 80'. The wind changed direction and started to blow hard out of the South and marked an end to our day of fishing. The funny thing about this is the watch which my folks gave my son for Christmas has a built in Moon phase indicator complete with fishing and hunting modes. It of course indicated that today was a poor day to catch fish, guess I should have paid it some heed. The water surface temp hovered around 46 degrees and i didn't see another boat out fishing. The first pic was taken in the morning and the second after a wave came over the bow on our way back to the dock around 1:30 pm.
