1/12/2009 8:55:00 AMJust rigging these for the post, I didn't do so, but when fishing it is best to pinch them down.
Thanks to all who respect the great outdoors and work at maintaining a valuable resource.

1/12/2009 11:04:00 AMSounds like it was an acceptable trip for your gang. Glad to be of assistance. I was able to get some pretty good pics of a cool looking boat, with fish being caught that day. Shoot me an email so I'd have an addie to send them to, and I'll Send them your way.
I like to take my wife fishing because she makes the boat look good. She enjoyed the banter, you guys were awesome.
Also, would like to see a post detailing your trip, including you impression of the place you guys put up for the week-end if you would. It Would make an interesting read for the members.
My email is lleonard@nwi.net

1/12/2009 11:26:00 AMhave done good with the PW just threaded on the hook and drifting, also at the upper pens will back bounce it out in the middle of the river on that shallow reef/table top area.

1/12/2009 1:07:00 PMIf ya don't have any, pick up some black marabou jigs in the 1/16 or 1/8 oz weight. These have picked up a lot of tripps, and are easy to fish. Slow and easy seems to do the trick right now, with a little twitch once in a while to liven it up a bit. Line weight seems to be important also. Go with a lighter line if your comfortable doing so.
What boat ya floatin, I'll keep an eye out

1/12/2009 5:32:00 PMhave fished the flies last year, used a 3 way snap swievl made y visin tackle just hooke dthe fly on the snap with wt. below.

1/12/2009 5:52:00 PMThat sounds like it should be a killer, will have to try it with different lures. putting a fly/lure on the line off the 3-way swivel would give it great action.
Thanks for the info. I may put some extra petro in the boat and head up to the upper pens if we don't see ya lower, hate to haul around an extra tank.
If ya see a aluminum BluFin/Spectrum sterndrive with a Yamaha kicker on it, give us a yell. Always enjoy swapping a few tales.
Be safe out there

1/14/2009 4:57:00 AMWe've tried the chartreuse, triple glow green, fluorescence orange, clear/ blue flake, root beer, and motor oil. so far the rootbeer, and motor have been the most consistant. Ran out of these and waiting on more.
