Went out to Fourth of July on Tuesday. Went almost halfway down the lake on the east side. Ice was 9-10" thick. My friend put his pole in the water and in about 1 minute, he had a bite. He had stepped away and couldn't get to the pole in time. So we watched closely for a while, and nothing. We messed around on the ice for about 4 hours, and we didn't get any other bites that day. Ice was smooth and the sun was out. Better than a day at work.
**left an ice hole course out there for someone. it comes complete with sand and water hazards. a game of ice nine is some consolation for a bad day of fishing**
