I went to Crescent lake and had been fishing for about a half hour when my fishing partner Bob J showed up in his boat. we flogged the water for about 5 hours with jigs, worms, spinner baits, buzz baits, and stick baits. at the end of that time I had caught 4 under sized bass and one that weighted 1 and 3/4 pounds on a Rapala Original Floating Minnow in silver color. Bob J caught only bass but it weighted in at 5 and 3/4 pounds and was caught with a worm, black, under a dock. We usually catch a bass at the south end where a small creek empties into the lake and a big bush covers a hidden hole to the right and 3 feet from the mouth of the creek but this trip we came up empty. the little back edge of the lily pads by the creek had lots of 10 and 11 inchers but that was all. Its a great lake in the spring before all the weeds take over. several bass were seen breaking the surface in next to the shoreline but there was just no way to get near them the vegetation was so thick.
