2/5/2009 4:07:00 PMThe open water was on the S side of the lake, so perhaps walking along the N side would work. As far as driving, the 3NW road ends at the public access on the E end. One time I did drive from Burke Lake S past Evergreen and wound up at Hwy 281, but I was lost and couldn't tell you how the heck I did it. It's possible the road might be chained off there too. The Seattle Times said today they were catching walleyes there. I did try for a while with a !/4 oz jig and crawler, but I'm sure I was too shallow for them.
