Slow but consistant ice fishing!
Drilled lots of holes to locate fish in this lake this year. We caught cutthroat and rainbow trout 12"-14", 3 fish each. Only caught fish near the shoreline on the north end of the lake. Every year we say we're going to make it back here during the summer months, maybe this year. This lake may be receiving heavier pressure than normal since Hatch and Williams were killed off, "rehabbed" last fall. Fish and Game hasn't restocked them yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the budget cuts don't keep them from restocking Hatch and Williams. New regs for Hatch, catch and release only, may retain 5 trout. Somehow they think that returning any caught perch back into the lake is going to keep the perch out of the lake! Didn't make any sense to me either.

Great to see someone fishes Pierre in the winter. Is there a plowed area to park? Usually they dont plow and parking on the highwy is dangerous. We fish it in the summer and have had great luck fly fishing it.

I'll have to try and get there and try the Ice fishing?
