2/28/2009 8:56:00 PMNo jealousy needed. it's the law of averages, we spend alot of time on the water, and I post the trips. There are RW fishermen who put me under the table, but they post occassionally, so you don't get to see their catches.
I'm not a dedicated Bass fisherman, although I have pulled my share out of the weeds, through the trees, and the toulles. My first experience with bass was at a young age (6-7 YO). My dad, uncle and I were fishing a southern lake at nite with a trot-line. The 14 ft jon boat was across a tiny inlet (about the size of a dinner table), and a BASS became airborn trying to escape. Caught my uncle in the mid section, and down in the bottom of the boat they went, the fight was on. Can you imagine this happening with just a kid and a double cell, single beam flashlite for illumination.
In the dark we weren't sure what was happening, but it turned out to be an eight pound LMB. WOW, what a ride for a kid.
Keep me posted on your planned trips to this neck of the woods, PM me when it's closer. Maybe we can hook up some where on the water.
Keep on fishin
