Another cool day on the water
Launched in AM, and puttered around the lower end for a change. Put a new electric on the bow, so tested it out.
Only got 4 hits, and one 3-4 pounder to the boat where it self released. Trolled spinners, minnow imitations, and B-2. Jigged drop offs but no success.
Watched a Golden chase ducks, and it was a beautiful day to be on the water.
Water temps ranged from 34.8-37 degrees. Cold water, sluggish fish.
The scenic pic is looking upriver from the "can line".
If any of you guys know of anyone who lost a license plate off their trailer today, I hung one on the bulletin board at the corps launch. It was out in the water at the launch.
Everyone go prepared and be safe

Nice report Great photo of the eagle. As you told me with my last Rufus Woods report, there's always next time.
Stay safe out there.

I'm hoping next time is this weekend Big D. There was a seagull with the eagle "assisting" in the harassment of the ducks. Guess he was hoping for a handout.
Be looking for ya when I'm on the water.

Hey Blufin,I've been reading your reports all winter(the jealousy is really setting in).I'm a new member of this site, but definetly not to fishing.I live 40 miles north of Seattle. But am planning to come out a couple times this spring. Was thinking Late april,and/or early May.Really hoping to meet you guys.Maybe even fish together a little.I got a 14' Grumman jon boat with 9.9 hp.Sure hope to hear from you and see if we could meet when we come out.I don't know how much of a bass man you are,but thats my main forte'.I am also planning a Banks lake trip or 2 also.Anyway my reports will mostly be snohomish, whatcom, skagit,or king counties.I will be posting all my trips.
Good fishing,Ron aka.Buzzbait

Hey ya buzzbait
No jealousy needed. it's the law of averages, we spend alot of time on the water, and I post the trips. There are RW fishermen who put me under the table, but they post occassionally, so you don't get to see their catches.
I'm not a dedicated Bass fisherman, although I have pulled my share out of the weeds, through the trees, and the toulles. My first experience with bass was at a young age (6-7 YO). My dad, uncle and I were fishing a southern lake at nite with a trot-line. The 14 ft jon boat was across a tiny inlet (about the size of a dinner table), and a BASS became airborn trying to escape. Caught my uncle in the mid section, and down in the bottom of the boat they went, the fight was on. Can you imagine this happening with just a kid and a double cell, single beam flashlite for illumination.
In the dark we weren't sure what was happening, but it turned out to be an eight pound LMB. WOW, what a ride for a kid.

Keep me posted on your planned trips to this neck of the woods, PM me when it's closer. Maybe we can hook up some where on the water.
Keep on fishin
