On Sunday my dad and I went out to Lake Nawahtzel. Third time in the last month. I had 5 bites but no fish. I think it was because I was using such a small hook. I did however bring a fish in to the dock but because I didn't have a net, it hit the dock and spit the hook. My dad had two bites and his first fish in 30 years. He got his license a month ago. The rainbow he caught was a fat, 14 incher. It had pink meat. We were using rainbow powerbait and worms. When we got home and gutted the fish we found two balls of rainbow powerbait and two worms. I just read that this lake was stocked with fish which made me laugh because one dock away a smaller sized rainbow kept jumping out of the water near shore. It was bizarre. All in all it was a good day. I will definitely be coming back next weekend. Hopefully the new trout will be spread out by then.
