My team met their milestone and was given the afternoon off. Good time to try a new lake. Since I had seen the good reports on Blackman's I decided to try it out.

Got there and fished from one of the docks on the east side by the park. No luck. After an hour I decided to switch over by the dock.

Before I left I talked to a guy on the other park pier. He caught one decent sized fish (worm & egg off bottom).

I was at the boat launch dock for about 30 mins when I got a bite. Nice fish, just shy of 13". No more bites the rest of the day.

There was a guy in a boat who came end right before I left. He reported catching 1 fish.

I saw a couple other guys fishing from the docks, but don't know if they caught anything.

A big thanks to the guys who have posted tips in on winter fishing. I follow the advice (small hook, light line, short leader). Very helpful, thanks much.
