I have been having some issues keeping the fish on the hook and I set out to really catch some fish today. I used a different hook and waited a bit before setting it this time. Once I had the fish on I gave a good tug to make sure that I had him on. I reeled in every fish that I hooked today. North Cove is dishing out some pretty good trout right now. I was only out there for 1.5 hours and pulled in two decent fish. Thanks to all of the guys here that have been sharing their methods as it is really helping me to find what I need to be doing. I keep hearing and reading that I should be using a leader with swivels but my simple split shot setup has been working for me and I don;t want to change what is working. I'll be out again at North Cove Saturday if anyone wants to meet up.
