Muskyhunter and I went today just t get out and knock the rust off our shoulders. Great to get out, a bit chilly but it warmed nicely. The water is like peanutbutter except the Tilton Arm and the back corners of Wilson Creek. We didn't see squat - as expected but the water was only a chilly 38 degrees! Also, there is literally a floating forest worth of junk on the lake. I would definitely wait a few more weeks until they have risen and lowered the water levels to get some of that debris out. By the way, stopped in at the Fish Country Sporting Goods store in Ethel on the way. New owners Tracy and Marshall are great and very interested in the pursuit of the noble essox! Make sure you all stop by and say hello if you go down there. I know they will also be carrying a healthy selection of musky lures this year.
