Major Ski and I went down to Mayfield today to fish and check out the lake today. Its a mess still from the flooding of last month. Water was brown in color in most places. Only two areas that you could actually see the bait you were chucking around. Tried some cranks, slow rolled some spinners. Fished deep and fished up off the edges of the flats. Marked lots of fish around both river heads. A pair of gents were out fishing for silvers.the Tilton River head has completely changed.And the main flat was loaded with HUGE trees (pictures) Talked to Sheryl at Mayfield Lake Resort and Marshall & Tracey at Fish Country. They said it was a lot worse a few weeks ago. All in all a good trip.No fish caught. I had one little Pikie Minnow chase one bait and that was about it. Won't be fishable for Tigers for a few more weeks. It was a great day on the water with a great friend.
