I woke up today with a vision of ripping some lips off. I really wanted to go to Lake Stevens, but since I'm using a Jon boat, having no fish finder, and a weather channel report of NW winds 10 to 20 I figured I better stay out of Lake Stevens. So I decide to go to Lake Cassidy( WHAT DO YOU KNOW THE WIND WAS NEAR CALM ALLDAY :( ... and see if I could stir up some early crappie or some trout. Launched out a 11:00 and Started trolling right out of the gate, I had 3 feet of leader, and a chrome dick knight, No luck at all, So I decided to go to the west side of the lake, Where I have caught many of early trout, I didn't even get a bumb, To make a disgusting report short, I fished every part of the lake, tossed spinners, spoons, worms, rapalas, plastics, jigs, and power bait. Didn't even get one bite, trolled for 3 hours and still fished for 2. I didn't even see one fish rise, Ive been getting skunked every trip. I think I'm going to wait until mid spring, Its getting ridiculous

Bummer. On the bright side, Cassidy is shallow so when spring finally arrives, the water will warm up faster @ Cassidy than it will @ deeper lakes like Stevens.
