Hit the water early Saturday with a battle with "Mother Nature" throwing another one of her temper tantrums with wind blowing out of the east at 15mph..Fished off Mack Bar to produce 2 fish with the biggin of the day tipping the scale at 12lbs.8 oz. At 10:00am "Mom" decided to change Direction and now wind out of the southwest with gusts, I am guessing at 25mph. Finished early due to the wind but managed to put 5 fish on the boat..
Now Sunday "Mom" must have been feeling bad for the way she treated me the day before because it was flat calm waters and Blue Sky and the fish were on the bite..must of had over 20 bites today with boating 7 lakers all in that 4 to 5 lb. range in 4 hrs....The best bite was on my Pike Minnow fillet with small Green Glow spatterback Ace Hi-fly..Thanks to Bob Rao and Melanie for fishing with me today after I painted an awful picture from the day that "Mother N" through her fit...Tip of the week with finicky Laker bites, is to be patient and let them take it..I have found that when fishing bait for these fish, if they get a taste of it they will stay with it until "YE HA FISH ON"...fell free to call with questions or comments...
