Scouting trip. All of the Quincy Lakes are ice free now. We arrived about 1:00 PM and it was 34 degrees out. I Caught a 12" Tiger trout on the first cast from shore using a black Roostertail. Not another hit. After an hour we went to Burke lake without any success. There were a lot more fishermen on Quincy lake than Burke, usually a good indicator of which lake is producing fish. We saw about four campers on the lake and maybe six boats. It's still too cold for this fisherman, I'm going to save my camping and fishing until it warms up to the fifty's.

The predictions are for 50's starting Friday. Got my fingers crossed.

I feel your pain! We had 13 guys on Burke Mon. and not one even had a good bite. The wind was cold and it even tried to snow a bit. Maybe we'll see ya there someday! Guy
