I caught my first cutthroat trout on Saturday. Because it was 37 degrees and a snow/rain mix, we only stayed for about an hour. We were using a half worm with rainbow powerbait combo with a four foot leader. I got my fish while reeling in my bait. It bit really hard. My dad caught his rainbow about 15 minutes later. My fish was 15 inches and my dad's was 14.75 inches although his was fatter with a smaller head. All in all, it was fairly good fishing for the amount of time we were there.

Did you happen to get the water temp?

My wife and I were there on Friday (the day before this report) and the water tempwas 39 degrees when we started at 8:oo a.m. and warmed up to 45 degrees by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. We caught two, one trolling and one still-fishing.
