Well, the wife was finally feeling better after a rough couple days and we both decided some fresh air would be nice, so we loaded a couple rods and chairs and headed down to the ponds. There were a few people fishing various places along the bank, we found a spot and settled in. Had bites on virtually every cast, but they were just nibbling it seemed. My wife finally hooked the first one and it was a typical 6 inch planter. Saw a guy with two very small girls (2-4years old??) on the grass bank by the parking lot doing quite well....made easier by the fact that the little girls were just there for show allowing him to fish two rods. Oh well, the little ones were having fun chasing the ducks anyways. Decided to head home about 5pm and while driving out of the parking lot I noticed a lot of fish rising in the NE corner of the lake by the porta-potty, I parked again, grabbed out the rod that had the spinner on it, and began casting into the school. Caught and released about a dozen or so in 20 minutes, just stood there and waited for them to circle around, and when they were close enough, casted rapid fire style and they just tore up my little spinner! It was pretty funny. I only gave the trip a 3 because of the size of the trout, would have taken a dozen to make a meal...
