went to lake boren yesterday with my buddy. fished for 2 hours, caught 3 fish, lost one. and had many missed strikes. the 3 caught were 10-12 inch stalkers. light biters, and light fighters till you got them close to you. threw them all back. one might have died.saw him floping in the shallows for a while.
went back today for about 2 hours. had a few bites but couldnt hook anything. saw a guy on the dock on the coal creek side catch a few. think he limited out. started to rain a little so i left.
i know there is a giant dock bass under the main dock. saw him last year, and he turned up his nose at everything i threw at him. i talked to a guy that said that bass had been there for years and no one can catch him. i got some new bass gear, do you think its to early to start throwing plastic under there at him? someone else also told me to get a little baby mouse and drop shot rig it and see if he takes that.

Spliff721. Believe it or not, I caught my largest Largemouth bass of my life under a dock in Manson Bay, up on Lake Chelan a few years back. She was 24" and right at 8 1/2 pounds. (I lip hooked her, took pictures and put her back to spawn)I caught her in ultra clear water using an 8lb flourocarbon leader, a size 1/0 Gamakatsu drop shot/splitsot hook and about a 3" real crawdad. I ran the hook just under the first segment behind the hard thorax shell, and dropped to the bottom and jiggled it. She came out and inhaled my Crawdad! I picked bait along the rocky shore. I wasn't sure if a crawdad is considered a fish for bait or not, (the one I used was dead.) She picked it up anyway. I've caught big non biting Large mouth and Smallies on a whacky rigged Night crawler rigged on a size one Owner wide gap worm hook and no weight. (Wacky riggin' hooks the worm once in the middle, )and you pitch it weightless, and let it's writhing do the rest. Also it's hard to beat a watermelon/gold flake 5" Yammamoto Senko fished weightless for big finicky Bass in clearwater. The Jigmiester
