Bottom Fishing From Shore

Tried Banks Lake from shore in several locations Saturday morning. Worm and marshmallow was the bait of the day. Sometimes my brother would switch things up and suspend a worm under a bobber. We started at midlake. When we decided to move a couple boats were launching. Then moved up to the cove at the base of Panther (?) falls. We saw a muskrat or something swimming at the mouth of the stream, and sat there listening to the ice break off the cliff face. Then we moved to the access at the south end of million dollar mile. By that time it had started raining so we decided to break for lunch. When we were thru eating it was still raining, so since we hadn't caught fish anywhere we decided to go home. Good call, it rained all day.

The ice is off the lake, except for a little bit right outside the boat basin at Coulee City. It should be gone by now, so next trip we will take the boat out.

The lake is ready, and I'm ready, I hope the walleye are ready! I haven't had any in the freezer since December.
