After mulling which lake to fish today, I decided on St. Clair since I live 5 minutes away..We both dressed for rain and my son donned on his waders. The rain wasn't too bad. I was able to pull right up to the bank and fish from the back of my SUV. There was another guy fishing who was using power eggs also. He said he caught 2 nice ones yesterday but nothing all morning. About 15 minutes of settling in, my son's line started taking off. He set the hook and the battle lasted about 1 second. Fish off..I started having visions of having a nice limit on April Fools..well, after 3 hours, my son and I felt like skunked fools- lol- I can't wait to hit this lake up in my boat when the weather gets better-
When I was leaving I caught a 20 pound state record largemouth.......april fools!!

HaHa. Really I wish you had caught a good largemouth. Keep us posted about St. Clair. Bill and I used to go there all the time.

sorry you got skunked!! I caught a 19" rainbow last summer trolling with a wedding ring....so I think weather probably has a lot to do with it! Good luck next time!
