We got to the lake just after noon and joined about 10 other boats on the lake. The water temp was 49 degrees F. We began by trolling the length of the lake. Our fish finder was showing alot of fish in the 10 to 30 foot area but not one nibble of interest in anything we were trolling. We changed to drop fishing in the south end of the lake. Nothing doing with spinner baits, lures, etc. A few nibbles and nothing else using worms, eggs, mallows, etc. Changed over to a bobber set up hanging a worm about 4 ft off the surface cast just off the dead plant matter. It went under almost instantly and I retrieved an empty hook. I cast a second worm into the same area and managed to reel in a 3 lb. 19.5 inch rainbow. Only fish caught all day, but worth the wait.
