Spent a few hours on the lake today. Boated 11 smallmouth average of about 2 pounds (sorry no camera) The water temp ranged from 43 to 50 the warmer water produced the fish. The water was very stained! Slow drop shotting did the trick. The smallmouth are schooled up but are still holding in about 16 to 20 feet of water along the rockes. Tried the shallows also but no luck. The rocks seem to be holding the heat and warming the water.

Wow Dave, as muddy as it was on Monday, you really did well. Did you launch at the Spokane House ramp or do you have a private access?

Launched at the Spokane House Area the water was a little fast but no real problem getting in and out. Fished the tum tum area along the rocks

I guess I need to learn the Spokane House launch area during clear water so I am not afraid to try it. On Sunday I saw a bass boat pulling out and he claimed he got caught on a sand bar and they all had to strip down to their boxers to get it off. You are not going to see this fat old man in boxers in 45 degree water!

Wow! Great report. I am still working hard for 1-2 fish a day. Anglinarcher-All the shallow sand bars are on the left side of the lake as you head down stream towards Tum Tum. Just stay to the right center of the lake and you will have no issues. Once you are past Nine Mile Resort it is all plenty deep for any boat.

We were sitting in the back yard laughing our asses off watching those guys in the mud. The location of said "sand" bar is directly behind our house. If you know where the lily pads grow in summer, you know where the shallows are. I have posted a photo in the past as to where one can safely operate a boat, but it never made it into the lake index.

AA, if you want to know how to use the SH launch, let me know. I will show you how it all works.

Gisteppo...Did you see the boat stuck on the bar for over a month last year? Do you fish much? I see your comments often. I live near Suncrest and launch at Lake Ridge. LoL
