Went out to flowing again to try my luck this time I brought my electric trolling motor. Glad I did. Took the wife and daughter out it was the kids first time in a boat that was a little tricky. I used the same dick nite silver with chartreuse tipped at bottom caught a lot of small ones on that. Finally stopped and still fished with rainbow power bait which has produced from some but we didnt get a nibble. I put on a worm and with in a few minutes got the first good sized one just over a pound so then I changed my wifes over to worm as well. She caught the second even bigger than mine almost 3 pounds 2 1/2 but real nice. It was about 3:30 and it was time to go so I trolled back using rapalahs one trout look a like and one that was perch color. I got many hits off the perch color and one more nice keeper at 1 1/2 pounds. The rapalahs were one size bigger than the smallest you can get. I didnt use any weight to lower them down and was in about 18 ft of water. Great luck to all.

I believe I may have talked to you guys! you mentioned the dick nite to me. I was trolling in my 12ft. fiberglass boat, and you were anchored. I made a comment that you were in the "meat hole". If I'm correct your daughter was quite young and you and the Mrs. were in an aluminum boat. I also was pulling a rapala and did quite well. I also had success trolling a green woolly bugger. we ate the trout tonight ... they were yum!

That was me, I felt I was in the way of trolling boats so I moved closer to shore. That buoy marked rock really should say log usely you can go to the outside of markers like that but thats were the log is in 21ft of water. I was thinking something might be holding up there thats why I anchored there. It was a great day on the water were going to eat our fish today. Se ya on the water
