Had a few hours to kill after work so ran over to Dolloff to see if the bass bite was on. Was marking fish in 8-14 feet of water with some big ones holding tight to cover in 10-12 feet. Threw a black jig with black/chartreuse trailer (the water is super stained there) and had a few little bites but nothing that would take a hook. Switched over to a blue/silver roboworm on a drop shot rig, about 2' off the bottom and had a few taps on that but, again, nothing would take the hook.

I think Dolloff has a lot of potential to be a good bass lake if you can find them around cover. There's a lot of natural pads in this lake and I marked some stumps and hardwood so once they're more active I think this will be a very good lake when you can find them.

What kind of fish finder do you have on your tube? I have a decent fish finder on my 9 foot boat, but I wouldn't be able to see distinguish BIG ones holding tight to cover.

I got the new Eagle 350C from Cabelas a few weeks ago. Most places are getting rid of their 320C stock before bringing the 350s in, but since the 350C is $199 at Cabelas and the 320C is $219 at Sportsmans Warehouse, it was a no-brainer to drive down and pick up the new hotness :) It's a pretty sharp finder - it was marking fish in the lily pads, too. I was sitting right over top of them, they're still about 3' below the surface, and the finder was pinging fish at 8' in the stalks, so it's a pretty solid unit at a great price. A color finder for $200 - can't beat it.
