I hit the Alder street fill for some Walleye fishing on Moses lake with my good friend Dan Hiatt. There was a strange absence of fellow fisherman from the day before. There were no more than a half a dozen fishermen fishing for walleye on the fill today (at least while I was there.) Dan caught the very first walleye of his life. He was tosssing a smoke salt and pepper 5" Kalins grub on a darter head. An older fella caught a fish about 6 lbs right next to him, which I netted for the smiling ol' codger. A guy named Shawn caught a fish too. I missed one fish, which I fought briefly, but lost it. It was the only hit I had during 2 hrs of fishing. I made up for that later at another secret lake, where I caught 4 decent keeper walleye on a guacamole 5" Kalin's grub. A good friend told me about hitting some good wally's over the last week , so Dan and I fished the spot after dark, at about 10 p.m. That place was really stacked with 17" to 20" spawning males. Getting the fish to bite was the easy part-landing them in the dark proved much tougher. We left at about 11p.m with 5 W'-Eyes total (I have to get permission from Adam to reveal that spot on this forum.) Pictures to follow soon. The Jigmiester
