We started out the morning with the weather cold, but the fishing hot. Then the weather warmed but the bite went cold. At the end of our morning trip we had four Mackinaw and a beautiful landlocked chinook. The Chinook bit a whole herring rigged to spin. The Mackinaw bit purple glow flatfish in the little F-7 size. It was a beautiful morning and the weather is supposed to improve from here. Wow! What a great day to be on Chelan. We pounded the lower end of the trench. It seemed most productive at either end for us this AM, but we showed fish on the sonar scattered throughout it.
