Made it out tonight. Was great, sunny, light breeze, warm. Just the two of us. Then the freeking bright yellow hydro showed up... Again, passed by us within 50 ft at 60+ just off Dike 4, He was launching from a community launch due west from the "3 Logs".
The rest of the evening was great, mostly quiet and only a hand full of other boats. No fish caught though. Surface temp 49
Unfortunatley Ellen and I first musky encounter, was washed up close to the rocks in the swimming area. Looked to be within the last day or so. Gullet was ripped out and an eye were the only visible signs of injury. Looked to be 32in to me. A resident walking by thought 34in. Talked for a bit and one of his friends, also residents, said they caught a 52 and 53 inchers last summer. I hope they were right, would sure like that to be my second musky encounter.
