Hit Barnes lake for the first time this year, pretty slow, just like last year, hit one fish all day using a blue jig with no trailor. tried a little of everything, jigs, senko's, cranks, plastics....the darn geese caused me to miss another sitting on a bed, casted and fish was moving to my jig and the geese decided to fly off right as the fish was coming and spooked the fish and couldnt see it again. anyway this lake has some fish but you really have to work them. fish was full of eggs, she was weighed and released right away.
