Went out to Limrick for the Derby today. Got out to the boat launch at 5 am, we was just the 2nd one there.....launch the boat,.....problem, batterys dead....we tryed, and tryed but no go. Soooooo we left after about 45 minutes to get another battery at Walmart.....finally after all that and after us being all mad about how the morning started off, we got on the lake just after 7. Lots of boats, more then last year when we did the derby here. Was very slow. Seen some being cought while trolling, a couple very nice ones we seen. After bottom fishing we started to troll, cought a small one......stopped went back to bottom fishing all over the lake & nothing. We ended up trolling again later, cought another one, in total all day cought three. This lake has always been good to us, but today i couldnt beleive how people would come by within feet from you while your trying to fish...and all they do is smile & wave. I was so suprise that lines didnt get crossed as bad as it got at times. The derby ended at 1, and at that point everyone left and we had the lake to ourselfs along with a couple of other boats. We finally left shorty after 3, going to head out to Lost lake tomorrow to try our luck there.
