I tried for smallmouth at Lake Joy today, but with no success. I tried a variety of jigs, deep running crankbaits and plastics but never even had a strike. I covered the water as well as I could but ....nothing. Water temp was 54 degrees, visibility about 3 feet. Oh well, I will be back when the water is warmer.
