My buddy and I launched the livy out at around 6:00 am or so . There was only a few people there, usally its crazy. We went just a little left of the boat launch and started out with power bait Hatchery forumla, T hat landed me 2 13 inchers. By about 7:00 we couldnt get anything to bite at all . I tried spinners and spoons nothing. As soon as the sun rose over the tree, I switched on to the mini spoon, and I started catching tons of fish. We were just floating the left side of th lake throwing spoons all day, right at the shoreline just blasting them all day. I myself caught 17 or 18. My buddy who was with me got 13 and what was really weird was that they were all like 12 to 14 inchers and they fought really well, Lots of jumping and flipping around. I also had a strange encounter with a largemouth. He hit my spoon 3 or 4 times and didint take it, and right as I was pulling the spoon out of the water the son of a gun jumped out of the water and almost went in the boat trying to get the spoon. I also had a trout go under the boat and jump up the other side and landed right ini his lap it was hilarious. Catch and release all uhharmed exep one who swalled the powerbait deep. So I gave it to a guy and his kid.... Good fishing Ill be back.
