Hit the lake around 6:30am. There was already about 15 boats. It looked like some kind of bass tournament was underway. Saw about 6 big bass boats all with a bright neon CONTEST sticker on motor. We started fishing just north of the boat launch, trolled rainbow colored flatfish on the surface. About 100ft back from the boat, my wife caught the first and it was none stop from there. First nine fish were only about 10"-12". We catch and release everything except those most delicious Coho and Chinook salmon of course. The last and biggest was 21” 3.9lbs trout in the picture. Caught and released about 10 in total. Left the lake at around noon there was about 25 boats, and the Sherriff dive boat was on the water. Maybe just running it before summer? Anyway it was a great day on the lake.
