Got on the water around 9:00. Lake was calm. Trolled down the shoreline from the boat ramp and picked up a couple of fish. I lost several other that I hooked before I checked the hook and found that it was not as sharp as it should be. Live and learn. We all know that sharp hooks will catch more fish -- I just need to remind myself to always check the hook after I catch a fish.
The wind came up around noon and we joined several other boats in making an exit. We could have used a few more fish and more time on the water before the wind came up. It was a great morning, good fishing and fun.
