This morning was beautiful could not resist fishing urge.. So I called Pickle(Fishin Buddy) at daybreak and he was at my house within 30 minutes.. We wanted to try something different and headed to Stickney with Pickle thinking trout and I thinking perhaps a Bass when the sun comes out.. Trolled the sunrise with ford fenders tied to a small Dick Night.. The Dick nights were chartreus/ white and Pickle had the the classic color of white/orange.. Trolled till about 8:30am without a stricker. We only saw a few boils but lake was awesome and smooth as glass and we were the only ones out there.. anyhow we switched to small circle hooks tipped with a night crawler dipped in worm oil...Went to the Westside in the couple early lillypads over there..Worked the area over casting everywhere.. No bites on the nightcrawler so I pulled out the Bass Rod and threw some plastics crankbaits and a few spinners "Nothin" time to move... Cruised over to the southern docks where it starts to get deeper and threw out the nightcrawler and as soon as hit bottom "WHAM" the catch of the day a 5" trout.. caught a few more of his siblings there and called it a day.. Fish where very small far and few between.. It was an awesome morning over all as far as weather goes... Thank you and Good Luck....Fish on...
