Got there at 7:30, fishing until 9. Caught 5 trout, one 18 incher and alot of ten inch stockers. Threw a medium sized spinner and my brothers used worms. I did better on the spinner. I had a hard time keeping them of the line, but to hard of a time getting them in. Lost 4 in battle. Great night. Frogs chirping. Sorry the pics were not worth the trouble.

I went out to West Medical during lunch last Tuesday when it was drizzling and I didn't get one bite for 2 hours. I tried worms/marshmellow, power bait, rooter tails rapala's...Nothing was getting their interest. I used to do GREAT in this lake 2 years ago when I first moved to town and it's only 20 minutes from downtown where I live. The reports this year so far were pretty bad for opening day on West Medical. However, it's sister lake is doing GREAT! If I only knew how to fly fish... ;-(

what type of spinners were you using? Rooster Tails? If so - what colors specifically. Thanks in advance!

um they were rooster tails and it was green yellow color. I have had a good time with black, red and brown, too. Hold on tight, they hit it like a bus. Keep in mind they work better in the late afternoon.
