Was surprised to wake up this morning to no rain -- so much for the forecast! So I decided to see how fast I could pack up the boat and all my gear and get to hot Pine like to ruin a few stocker trouts' mornings. Got to trolling about 09:00 and pulled out about noon.

I ended up releasing 14 rainbows ranging 7 to 12 inches, 5 more self-released at the boat, and had many more strikes. I kept the rod in my hand and rested it against my knee to feel every bump. Used a trout pattern original rapala on a swivel clip, 6lb line. After catching 7 near the north corner of the lake, I toured the lake and caught them everywhere, with maybe slighty concentrated action in the south corner. Heaven.

Water temp was 59. Did not see many on the sonar. The big dock looked pretty full. Saw birds fishing and catching too.
