Three of us went out to American Lake on an absoultely stellar Friday morning. We were in the water and fishing by 7:30. With in five minutes we had on an 8" trout. We went over to the other side in front of the Veterans Hospital about 50 yards off shore and did not pick up anything. We moved down the shore in front of the public park where they installed two new boat launches and new docks. We immediately pickup a twelve inch trout. Then a few minutes later picked up a ten inch trout. We stayed at this spot and limited out on all three poles by 11:00. The largest fish were 12 1/2", 12", and 11 1/2" trout. The rest were anywhere from 7 " to 10" trout. We were all using wedding rings (green, red and pink) with a worm and a 1/2 oz of lead, trolling. There were very few boats on the lake, the water was like a mirror and the sun was shining! Water temp was about 58 degrees. We could not have asked for a better day off work than that!!!
