Only fished for a few hours with the whole family. Wife did the best...must of been mother's day luck. Caught about 7 or 8, and kept 3 of the bigger fish around 17 inches. We were always consistenly getting hits. All were rainbows, except one was a brown. We were trolling with sinking fly line and gold beaded black wollybuggers. If you have a big boat, good luck getting it in the lake. The lake is very low. Small boats, float tubes, and shore fishing would be suggested.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. While taking my motor off the back, my 11 ft aluminum boat was not very steady and I tumbled over the side in the water. Motor is okay, but my cell phone was ruined.

Hey Travis, We don't very many reports on Deer Springs Lake. I fished it years ago. My son and I towed my old Bass Tracker down there but the water level was so low we couldn't launch. Fortunately we also had a canoe on top of the canopy and carried it down to the lake and fished for bass. We camped on a bluff overlooking the lake. See photo with overview. Tight lines, BJ
