Trolled Meridian in the Pontoon for Kokanee. I used a pink dodger with shoepeg corn and gulp maggots. Fishing was pretty slow overall but I managed to boat 3, 10-11 inches. Water was 57 degrees, mostly calm with rain at times. I had the whole lake to myself except for when a jetskier zipped around the lake for about 10 minutes. I think the the rain scared him off.
When I got back to the launch, no one was around so I thought I would try to catch another fish for dinner. I threw out a couple of power eggs and a worm while packing up the boat. I set my pole near the fence. I noticed my line zipping off the surface and ran to set the hook but my reel got hooked in somebodys spools worth of 10# line. It rapped around the reel and tangled it up and it was also hooked to the fence. So not only could I not reel, but I could not walk back or do anything but try and untangle the mess with the fish throbbing on the line. Of course right when I broke off the heavy line the fish spit the hook. It felt like a nice one. Thanks to whomever can't pick up your trash I had to take my reel apart when I got home to get the line out that was stuck underneath the spool. Oh well, I smell the fish cooking right now so I got to go. :)
